So my parents have gone back to the US. I'm actually pretty sad to see them go. It was pretty cramped having 4.5 people living in my tiny "mansion" apartment. But they didn't really get in the way that much. They were in fact pretty helpful with the baby and all that. They came here as much to meet the baby as to see Japan, so they were more than happy to carry her around and give her milk and stuff like that. It was fun showing them around Japan a little bit too, and Hana also had some first, such as her first visit to a department store and her first (post-birth) visit to the park. And she got noticeably bigger in just the short time they were here. The hardest part was going straight to work after dropping them off on the bus to the airport. I want a vacation, but even if I had a vacation I couldn't relax, because I have to take care of the poop factory all the time. It was actually easier to relax when my parents were here, because they could share the workload.
