Spider-man 3

Review:This was a pretty good movie, but not as good as I thought it should have been. Something was missing. Everything that seemed archetypical and mythological in the first two movies just seemed trite and formulaic in this one. There are enough villains and plot twists for two movies, and a lot of the story seems rushed. And there are too many convenient coincidences. Despite all the cool villians (the Sandman was especially cool), the world or even the city is never really in danger; only Mary Jane (and her relationship) Of course, one of the best part of the first movies was the human side of the characters, super-powered or not, but it's the most annoying part of this movie. And changing historical events like Uncle Ben's death is annoying enough in comic books, which often tinker with events in the distant past in order to be able to tell new stories or just sell more books, but you should have enough foresight to avoid doing it in a movie trilogy. Although Venom is cool, I can't figure out why the hell he (it?) is even in this movie. Overall, this movie probably couldn't have ever lived up to the hype generated by the first two, or the expectations generated by spending $300 million, but it didn't even live up to my definition of a good movie.
